F2

The solar park Brandenburg- Briest is a ground-mounted photovoltaic plant on the former airfield Brandenburg- Briest. It is equipped with solar panels the company Q-Cells and was at the time of its completion Europe's largest solar park. It consists of three sections: Brandenburg- Briest Ost, Brandenburg- Briest West and Briest- Havelsee. The sections in Brandenburg have a peak power of 30 MW, the section in Briest is designed for 31 MW.

383,000 crystalline modules are arranged with an inclination angle of 25 degrees and an area of approximately 65 ha. The modules of the type Q.PEAK, Q.PRO and Q.BASE have a power of 230-245 Wp to convert the direct current generated from the solar cells are connected inverter 102. The entire system was in December 2011. As annual output 89,500 MWh were predicted, which corresponds to about a year of forecasted average power of about 10 MW.
