Special

In the area of Berlin, the Brandenburg or mark- Brandenburg dialects have mixed ostmitteldeutsche dialects over time, that there only relatively few connections with the Ostniederdeutschen are available. Therefore, the variations of the Berlin Brandenburg are now regarded as ostmitteldeutsche dialects and summarized under the name Lausitzisch - Neumärkisch. The Lausitzisch - Neumärkisch consists of the Lusatian, the Südmärkischen and the Neumark. The Mark -Brandenburg was formerly spoken to the Havel country and the Oder. Due to the northern migration of the Benrather line the Mark -Brandenburg has been largely displaced by the Berlin -Brandenburg.
