Branko Bošković

Branko Bošković (Cyrillic: Бранко Бошковић ), ( born May 21, 1980 in Bačka Topola ) is a Montenegrin football player who currently has a contract with SK Rapid Wien.

Career

Branko Bošković, whose father is from Montenegro, began his career at FK Mogren and moved in January 1999 to FK Red Star Belgrade.

With Red Star Belgrade he was in 2000 and 2001 champion and 2000 and 2002 Cup Winners' Cup. For the season 2003/ 04 he spent 6 million euros for Paris SG and was in his first season already vice- champion and cup winner. In the 2005/06 season he was loaned to ES Troyes AC. After his contract was not renewed in the summer of 2006, Bošković was out of contract and stayed at FK Belgrade fit.

In January 2007 he moved to SK Rapid Wien, with whom he was Austrian champion in 2008.

In the summer of 2010 he returned to Vienna the back and moved to Washington, DC to D.C. in the U.S. United. He owned there by the end of June 2012 the status of a Designated Player, ie his salary was not covered by the general rules of Major League Soccer. On June 29, 2012 was D.C. United announced that Bošković had signed a new one-year contract and henceforth ceases to be a Designated Player.

On January 19, 2013, the SK Rapid Wien announced the renewed commitment of Bošković.

National

For the national team of Serbia and Montenegro, he played twelve times and scored two goals. Most recently, he played in October 2005 in a World Cup qualifier against Lithuania. After the separation of the State Union to Bošković decided in future to play for Montenegro, the Football Association ( Fudbalski Savez Crne Gore - FSCG ) is headed by the Yugoslav ex -National player Dejan Savićević.

In the first game of the neugründeten Montenegrin Association against Hungary Bošković was used, played and incurred by replacement of captain Mirko Vucinic at the end of the game the captain loop.
