Branwen ferch Llyr [ branwen verx ɬi ː r] ( " Branwen, the daughter Llŷrs " ) is the title of the Second Branch of the Mabinogi in Welsh mythology. The narrative is both Llyfr Gwyn Rhydderch ( "The White Book of Rhydderch " ) and in the Llyfr Coch Hergest ( " The Red Book of Hergest " ) included.

Content and persons acting

Matholwch, king of Ireland, woos Branwen, the daughter and sister of the Britannic Llŷrs king Bran the Blessed.
