Brazen bull

The Sicilian bull was designed by Perilaos torture and execution device for the Sicilian ruler Phalaris of Akragas. The bull was made of bronze and had an entrance opening. In the bull people could be imprisoned. The torture was carried out by heating the cops. The cries of the people should have sounded like cries of a bull. This effect should be caused by a complicated system of air passages.
