Breakin' All the Rules

Breakin ' All the Rules is an American comedy film from the year 2004. Directed by Daniel Taplitz, who also wrote the screenplay.

Action

Quincy Watson works for a magazine, which publisher Philip Gascon required of him that Watson announces numerous employees. Gascon said that it was one of the privileges of his position that one could delegate the dirty work. Watson announces itself instead his job. He is left by his fiancée Helen Sharp.

Watson writes the book Break Up Handbook on how you can end a relationship before the partner does. The book is a bestseller. Watson's cousin Evan Fields applies the advice from the manual and puts an end to his girlfriend Nicky Callas. Watson learns Callas know and come closer to her. Fields notes that he still loves Callas and feels betrayed by his cousin.

Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun - Times on May 11, 2004, the film connect elements of a romantic comedy, a mix-up film and a satire on the publishing policy. He lived on the representations of Jamie Foxx, Morris Chestnut and Gabrielle Union were funny. Gabrielle Union has WOULD a warm smile while Jennifer Esposito as a men's event. The film was not a comedic masterpiece, but it was fun and effective ( "is not a comic masterpiece, but it's entertaining and efficient" ).

Movie service wrote that the film was an "occupied with African-American protagonists romantic comedy confusion ". He offers " standardized entertainment with many follies ".

Awards

Gabrielle Union was nominated in 2004 for the BET Comedy Award; in 2005, she was nominated for an Image Award. Jamie Foxx and Gabrielle Union were nominated for the 2005 Black Reel Award.
