Brecha (newspaper)

Brecha - German: " breach ", " break " - is a Spanish-language, Uruguayan weekly newspaper from Montevideo. It is classified in the political spectrum left, but is not bound party. The newspaper was established in the final phase of the military dictatorship in 1983 in the tradition of the previously banned by the military Marcha. The re- entry was made in October 1985. Cofounder and editor have included Samuel Blixen and the journalist and writer Mario Benedetti, and other surviving members of the Marcha. In 1989, the Brecha organized jointly with the weekly Zeta in advance of the referendum of that year to the Ley de caducidad a campaign that had a rejection of the amnesty law to the destination. The current editors of the Brecha heard the professor Raúl Zibechi.
