Brett Gardner

Brett M. Gardner ( born August 24, 1983 in Holly Hill, South Carolina) is an American baseball player in the major leagues. He plays there for the New York Yankees.

Biography

Gardner began his baseball career in 2001 at the College of Charleston Cougars, the baseball team of the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. In the third round of the MLB Draft 2005, he was chosen by the New York Yankees. In the 2005 season he played with the Staten Iceland Yankees in the New York - Penn League. In 2006 he arrived at the Tampa Yankees in the Florida State League action. He closed the season with a batting average of .323 with 22 RBIs and 30 from Stolen Bases. In 2007 he was employed in 54 games of the Double -A Trenton Thunder clubs before he was due to its performance in the Triple -A team of the Yankees, Scranton / Wilkes -Barre Yankees, was appointed. Gardner is considered next Ichirō Suzuki, Carl Crawford, Austin Jackson and Juan Pierre as one of the fastest players in the Major League. He is known for his often successful attempts to steal a base.

Private life

Gardner and his wife Jessica a born in November 2008 son named Hunter. His father played in the minor league for the Philadelphia Phillies.
