Brian Haig

Brian Haig ( born March 15, 1953) is an American thriller writer.

Military time

Haig graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1975 and became a lieutenant. He served in Germany and three years at Fort Carson, Colorado. After the Master in Harvard and other training in military strategy, he worked for three years as a global strategist in the United States Army and was responsible for regional war plans in Southwest Asia and global plans for war against the Soviet Union. He was also three years Special Assistant to the Commander -in- Chief of the United Nations Command and Combined Forces Command in Seoul. Haig ended his military career as a Special Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, John M. Shalikashvili.

After his military service

Haig left the military in 1997 to initially become director and later president of Erickson Air - Crane. Later he was president of the International Business Communications for a year. He wrote articles for the New York Times, USA Today and Vanity Fair. Haig is currently a full-time writer and works as a military consultant for Fox News.

Haig holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy, a Master in Public Administration from Harvard, and a Masters in Government from Georgetown University. His military awards include Airborne wings and the Ranger tab, two Legion of Merit and the Distinguished Service Medal.

Brian Haig is the son of 4- star general and former U.S. Secretary of State Alexander Haig.
