Brian McGilloway

Brian McGilloway ( born 1974 in Derry ) is a Northern Irish teacher and writer.

McGilloway studied English at Queen's University in Belfast and was active in student theater, where in 1996 he released the price for theater lighting of the renowned Irish Student Drama Association won. He currently runs the English faculty at St. Columb 's College, Derry.

McGilloway debuted in 2007 with the detective novel Borderlands, thereby reaching the shortlist for the Dagger Award for debut novels of the Crime Writers' Association. As a result of this success, he managed to conclude a contract for three crime novels.

McGilloway lives with his wife and four children in the vicinity of the inner Irish border.
