Brian Scalabrine

Brian David Scalabrine ( born March 18, 1978 in Long Beach, California) is an American former basketball player.

Scalabrine started his pro career with the New Jersey Nets, who had selected him 35th in the NBA Draft 2001. With the Nets the 2.06 m wide power forward reached the final series of the NBA in his first season. From 2005 to 2010 played Scalabrine for the Boston Celtics, with whom he was able to win the 2008 championship in the NBA. On September 21, 2010 Scalabrine signed a contract for one season with the Chicago Bulls. He wore the number 24 and his fans "White Mamba " called ( in the style of " Black Mamba " Kobe Bryant ). In the wake of the NBA lockout Scalabrine 2011 moved in the meantime to Italy Benetton Treviso, but returned at the start of the NBA season 2011/12 back to the Chicago Bulls. After that season he announced his retirement as an active player and now works as a co- commentator for Comcast Sports New England for broadcasts of the Boston Celtics.
