Brightsand River

The Bright Sand River is a river in Thunder Bay District in the western Canadian province of Ontario.

The river has its origin 50 km north of Upsala in Pakashkan Lake. From there it flows in a predominantly north through numerous lakes - Lake Metionga, Bright Sand Lake, Harmon Lake, Wapikaimaski Lake, Antler Lake, McEwan Lake - before it opens at Allanwater Bridge in the Allan Water. A large part of the river is located within the Bright Sand River Provincial Park. The Bright Sand River has a length of about 150 km.
