British Independent Film Awards 2012

The 15th ceremony of the British Independent Film Awards ( BIFA ) was held on December 9, 2012 at Old Billingsgate in London and was moderated, as in previous years by James Nesbitt.

A total of 15 awards program was celebrated with an extended evening program in which, inter alia, DJ Rob da Bank and The Incredibly Strange Film Ribbon occurred.

The youth film Broken by Rufus Norris, despite nine nominations, only the awards for best film and best supporting actor ( Rory Kinnear ) win. The feature film Berberian Sound Studio by Peter Strickland won seven nominations, the awards for Best Actor ( Toby Jones), Best Director, Best Production and the best technology ( sound design ).
