Brno-City District

Okres Brno- město ( German district Brno - city ) is located in the South Moravian Region in the Czech Republic.

The district Brno - city covers an urban circuit in accordance with, the area 's second-largest city in the Czech Republic and the center of Moravia. In the area of the borough is home to around one-third of the population of the South Moravian Region ( South Moravian Region ). Nearly one tenth of the total area is cultivated on arable land accounts for about two-thirds and 28 % take a woodland.

Brno itself one of the oldest industrial areas but also trade and exhibition centers in Europe. Of the 194,000 workers, about 19% are employed in industry, 13 % in trade, 10 % in construction, 39 % in business services, 16 % in the education and health sector. Unemployment is 9.1 %, of which a quarter of young people.
