Broken Bells
Broken Bells is an indie - rock project of the U.S. musician Brian Burton (aka Danger Mouse ) and James Mercer.
Band History
The DJ and music producer Brian Burton, among other things, known by Gnarls Barkley, and the lead singer of U.S. indie rock band The Shins already met in 2004 at the Danish Roskilde Festival know and discovered their common musical interests. In March 2008, she then met in Burton's recording studio in Los Angeles for common shots. Here, the multi-instrumentalist Burton put music on self -rehearsed instead of samples and Mercer to larger vocal range, as both they put in their other projects.
Only in the autumn of the following year they made their joint project publicized shortly before their debut single, The High Road appeared. Then the joint album was released in March 2010, which carries the band's name. It became an international chart success.
In January 2014 appeared after the Disco, the second joint collaboration.
