Bromarf

Bromarv is a place and a former municipality in the Finnish landscape Uusimaa. Administratively Bromarv belongs to the city Raseborg.

Bromarv situated on a narrow isthmus between two bays around 17 kilometers southwest of the center of Ekenäs. The 600 or so inhabitants live mainly from tourism. In the village there is a church built in 1981, which replaced a previous building burnt down in 1753.

1667 Bromarv became a chapel of the parish church Tenala 1881 it became an independent parish. In addition to the same Kirchdorf the community Bromarv included a number of villages in the area. Finally, the community Bromarv had an area of 197 km ² and 1,500 inhabitants (of which over 90 % Finland Sweden). In 1977, the municipality Bromarv was dissolved. A smaller part of the territory of the city of Hanko, the largest part of the community Tenala was slammed. The latter in turn was incorporated in 1993 in the city Ekenäs. 2009 Ekenäs became part of the newly formed city Raseborg.
