Brückenberg

The bridge is part mountain with its 964 meters the highest mountain in the Saxon Erzgebirge. It is located in the western Ore Mountains about 1 km west of Wildenthal. From the nearby Auersberg it is separated by the valley of the Great Bockau. On its ridge heights are several streams, so the Dönitzbach which flows north to Eibenstock. In an old quarry once fine-grained Turmalingranit was broken. Between Brückenberg and elbows ( 899 m) extends the early riser Buser, an old pass road into Bohemia. After the bridge hill passes the Ehrethausweg of Wildenthal, past the old forest pool and the breakfast Buser gate.
