Brumalia

Brumalia (derived from Latin bruma winter solstice) was the honor of Dionysus or Bacchus celebrated on December 25th Festival in ancient times.

In the Roman calendar, the festival Brumalia used by Romulus began on November 24 and lasted 30 days.

The celebration of the Brumalia and the corresponding customs were 692 by the Synod Trullanische forbidden ( canon 62).
