Bruno Forte

Bruno Forte ( born August 1, 1949 in Naples, Italy ) is an Italian theologian and Archbishop of Chieti - Vasto.

Life

After high school and a visit to the Seminary of Naples Capodimonte Bruno Forte received on April 18, 1973 Corrado Cardinal Ursi the sacrament of Holy Orders. On 26 June 2004 by Pope John Paul II appointed Archbishop of Chieti - Vasto. He received his episcopal consecration on 8 September 2004, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger ( later Pope Benedict XVI. ).

He is regarded as an important theologian and already held the fast retreat for the Pope and the Curia, which is considered award at professional and personal level, and represents a progressive attitude within the Catholic Church.
