Bruno Gama

Bruno Gama (born 15 November 1987 in Vila Verde, Bruno Alexandre Vilela Gama prop ), is a Portuguese footballer. He is now the Ukrainian club Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk under contract.

Career

Association

Gama was trained in the junior department of the Portuguese first division club SC Braga. At the age of 16 he made his debut in the first team, making it aroused the interest of other clubs. In summer 2004, he undertook the FC Porto.

There, however, he could not initially pass through and completed the majority of his games in the second team of the league leader. However, in order to give him playing time in the top division, he was awarded in the following years to league rivals. Only Gama returned to his youth club, after which he came to nearly 60 missions in Vitória Setúbal.

Still, he could not convince them of its qualities the club's leadership in Porto and was eventually sold to the Portuguese first division club FC Rio Ave in the summer of 2009. There he played himself into the starting lineup and finished in two seasons nearly all mandatory games. Due to its impressive performance and foreign clubs were aware of him, so he finally undertook the Spanish first division side Deportivo La Coruña in the summer of 2011.

National

For his home country Gama took part in the U-17 European Championship in 2003. On home soil he could win the contest by a 2-1 in the final against Spain. Less successful, he participated in the U-19 European Championship 2006 and at the U -20 World Cup 2007, where he retired with Portugal respectively, in the group stage.

For the U-21 team of his country, he was also appointed in the autumn of 2007.
