Brušperk

Brušperk ( German Brown Mountain ) is a town with 3658 inhabitants in the Czech Republic. It is located 9 km north- west of the city Frýdek- Místek in 265 m asl at the Ondřejnice and belongs to the Okres Frýdek- Místek.

Geography

The city is located in north-eastern Moravia in the Ostrava pan on the edge of the metropolitan region of Ostrava. Neighboring towns are Trnavka and Kateřinice in the West Stara Ves nad Ondřejnicí and Krmelín in the north, Staříč in the southeast and Fryčovice and Ptáčník in the south.

In the city center there are mostly Baroque houses. In 1992 it was proclaimed a Czech town monument.

History

Brušperk was founded in the second half of the 13th century, during the colonization of the area by the Olomouc Bishop Bruno of castle. The first written record dates back to December 6, 1269th The corresponding list has proved to be a forgery of a later period. Since 1305 the parish church of St. George is detectable.

It belonged with other municipalities around the center of the craft, especially the textile manufacturing.
