Buchères

Buchères is a municipality with 1385 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the French department of Aube. The town lies on the River Hozain.

History

On 24 August 1944 Men of the 51st SS brigade have caused a massacre in which 68 people were killed. Among 10 children were younger than ten years, 5 old people over seventy, 35 women and three babies at the age of 18, 11 and 6 months.
