Course

Buchhellertal

Mining

In 1712 the pit Bleiberg was first mentioned. Were mined zinc and lead ores. 1720 followed the pit star of hope on her and lead- silver ore were made ​​of a plastic shaft and tunnel work near won. Except for the NSG "Book Light source area ", located on the Westerwald- basaltic plateau, all protected areas are located in the Southern Hellerberg country.

At the beginning of the reserve "Lower Buchhellertal " is a parking lot, from where you can walk through the valley up to the lip or can ride a bike. By 2007, was located in the valley itself is a restaurant on the hiking trail.
