The Pukhan'gang or Bukhangang ( " Northern Han River ") is a source of the river Hangang flowing through North Korea and South Korea.
It crosses the North Korean Kangwon Province, as well as the South Korean provinces of Gangwon -do and Gyeonggi -do.
The source of the Pukhan'gang located in North Korea near the Kumgang. This stretch of river is also called Kŭmgangchŏn or " Kumgang ". It crosses the Demilitarized Zone, reached the district Hwacheon, flows south through Chuncheon and then west through Gapyeong. He joins the Namhangang in Yangseo -myeon, Yangpyeong, the Hangang.
The entire catchment area of the river is 11,343 km ², of which 7788 km ² in South Korea.
