Bullet (Misfits song)

Occupation

  • Vocals, guitar: Glenn Danzig
  • Guitar: Franche Coma
  • Bass: Jerry Only
  • Drums: Mr. Jim

Bullet is the first EP and a total of second publication of the American horror punk band The Misfits.

Development and design

The recordings of the session should be used for the Static Age album, this appeared, however, only 17 years later. The first 1,000 sound recordings are black, the remaining 2,000 pressed on red vinyl. Another difference between the two versions is the back: With the first pressings, a band photo and Distributed were printed by orc on the back, in the second Better Dead on Red

Style

Bullet is fundamentally different from the first single Cough / Cool, because the electric piano, was replaced by an electric guitar, the recording quality is higher, and a generally harder style prevails. The lyrics are influenced as opposed to later publications, not by typical horror themes.

Background

The cover, and the text to Bullet, which was written in 1974 by Danzig, go back to the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Some former band members, including but not the author, Glenn Danzig, confirm that We Are 138 based on the film THX 1138. Hollywood Babylon was probably from the same book, written by Kenneth Anger, inspired.
