Bulmer Cavern

The Bulmer Cavern is New Zealand's longest cave system, which extends over 66 kilometers through the Mount Owen region in the northwest of the South Island. The cave system applies approximately 750 meters below the surface as the third deepest cave in New Zealand.

In the crisscrossed with limestone and marble mountain ranges north-west of Nelson located in the mountains of Takaka Hill, Mount Arthur and Mount Owen, the deepest and the three longest cave systems in New Zealand.

The cave was discovered in 1985. That same year saw the first expedition held in the higher sections.
