Buna (Neretva)

The Buna is a left tributary of the Neretva River in the southeast of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Course
It rises on the outskirts of Blagaj out of a 200 meter deep cave and ends after only 9 kilometers into the Neretva. The Bunaquelle is one of the strongest karst springs in Europe with a bed of 43,000 liters per second. The water temperature is 10 degrees Celsius.
The source location had a Turkish Sultan so impressed that he there in the 16th century a tekija, ie a convent for a dervish orders, had built.
