The NSRC - Arena (formerly the Federal Stadium Southtown and Trenkwalder Arena) in Lower Austria's Maria Grossenzersdorf is home to the football club FC Admira Wacker Mödling.

History

The football stadium holds about 12,000 people, it was built in the years 1965 to 1967. In 1970 the stadium was only 1,800 spectators attended hosted a cup record the OFB Cup final between FC Wacker Innsbruck and Linz ASK, which won the Innsbruck 1-0.

The predecessor club VfB Admira Wacker Mödling, SK Admira Vienna, was originally located at the Hopfengasse in Jedleseer Stadium. The former sponsor of the club NEWAG / NIOGAS, predecessor of the Lower Austrian utility EVN, had decided to relocate the club from the north of Vienna in Lower Austria Maria Grossenzersdorf south of the city. In this place also the sponsor was even settled. On its neighboring property he had the new Admira Stadium Southtown build. The club played until the construction of the new stadium in South City Maria Grossenzersdorf in Hopfengasse and handed over the stadium after the move in 1966 to the Floridsdorfer AC, which discharges its home games there until today.

The Admira moved first for the fall season 1966 in the stadium Mödling, venue of the VfB Mödling, as the new South City Stadium was not completed until late. The opening of the new covenant stadium south town was finally on March 4, 1967, the championship game Admira energy -FC Wacker Innsbruck take place, which the home team won 3-1. The first goal in the new stadium reached the Admiralty striker Willy cross.

Characteristic of the arena are the grass hill behind the goals. This should also result stands, which were lack of money ultimately not built.

After 41 years, the Federal Southtown stadium was renamed in summer 2008. It now bears the name Trenkwalder Arena. In October 2008, major renovations were made. Among other things, the floodlights has been completely renewed. A new television tower opposite the grandstand since 2009 provides attractive television images.

In the spring of 2013, the club reached an agreement with the Province of Lower Austria and the Austrian sports center on third - equal funding necessary adaptation measures. Among other things, is to be erected on the lawn in the north of the stadium, a new seat grandstand for the fan of the team.

In August 2013, the renaming of the stadium in BSFZ - Arena was announced.
