The German Federal Highway 289 (B 289 ) leads from Coburg east to Rehau.
The B 289 branches south of Coburg from at Untersiemau of the B 4 in an easterly direction. In the new section leads with two lanes, routes with grades three, as the southern motorway connection Coburg Untersiemau the junction of the A73 ( Suhl - Coburg - Nuremberg).
