Federal highway 300 ( Abbreviation: B 300 ) is a federal highway in Germany and extends from Kelheim to Memmingen. She crosses Augsburg and Swabia.

Course

The B 300 starts at the B 16 at Muenchsmuenster, through the counties Oberpfaffenhofen adIlm, Neuburg- Schrobenhausen, Aichach- Friedberg, the city of Augsburg, the districts of Augsburg, Günzburg and Lower Allgäu region and ends in the town of Memmingen.

It is a major connection axis for the two main centers of Augsburg and Ingolstadt and includes the region of the junction Dasing to the motorway A8 Munich - Stuttgart.

At the height of the market town area Reichertshofen it crosses the B 13 Munich -Ingolstadt.

In Augsburg, the B 300 falls to the B 17 and for a short distance with the B 2 together. All sections in Augsburg, Bergen, Neusaess and at the level of the A 8 are four lanes, the section in the valley of the pair is expanded dreistreifig over long distances.

History

The section Aichach- Dasing was section of the proposed A 90th This section will be expanded four lanes between junctions Dasing and Aichach -west for a distance of 5 kilometers as motorway-like highway. A specific timetable for this purpose exists not yet, but is expected to be a construction period of about four years. As a preparatory measure the connection point Aichach -South already rebuilt 2010. By December 2011, the B 300 was the junction Aichach- West expanded without crossing between Aichach and Dasing in anticipation of the four-lane expansion. This measure was urgently needed because of the many fatal accidents in 2010.

The section Heimertingen -Memmingen has the B300 adopted by the B19, when it was replaced by the A7.
