Burlington Estate

The Burlington Estate is a district in the north of Mayfair Piccadilly in the West End of London, England. He has developed in the 18th century. Owner of the property was the Anglo-Irish Dynasty Boyle, Earl of Burlington, in particular Richard Boyle, 3rd Earl of Burlington ( 1694-1753 ).

Burlington House, which is located on Piccadilly, was the main residence on the property. The house is now home to the Royal Academy, the Geological Society of London, Linnean Society of London, the Royal Astronomical Society, the Society of Antiquaries of London and the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Roads, which had their origin in the property, included the Cork Street, now a center for art galleries, and Savile Row, famous for its traditional ( highly customized ) Mr. tailoring. The district was known for his development for tailoring. Beau Brummell (1778-1840) who introduced a colorful form of men's fashion during the Regency era in Lodon, which was known as dandyism, Schneider promoted in the area.
