Burma at the 1956 Summer Olympics

Burma participated in the Olympic Summer Games 1956 in Melbourne, Australia with a delegation of eleven athletes (all men) at eleven competitions in four sports part. There were no medals to be won. The youngest athlete was the boxer Yaishwe Best (17 years and 141 days), the oldest athlete was the sailors Gyi Khin Pe (40 years and 141 days). It was the third participation of the country in the Olympic Summer Games.
