Bururi Province

Bururi is a province of Burundi, whose capital is also called Bururi. Another city is Rumonge. The province is located in the southwest of the country, bordered to the west by the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Lake Tanganyika.

2007 Bururi has an estimated population of 504,000.

Bururi is divided into nine districts Burambi, Bururi, Buyengero, Matana, Mugamba, Rumonge, Rutovu, Songa and Vyanda. In Bururi the forest reserves Bururi Forest Nature Reserve, Nature Reserve and Rumonge Kigwena Nature Reserve lie.
