Busiris (Lower Egypt)

Abu Sir Bana (Arabic: Abu Sir; ancient Egyptian Djedu, also Per- Osiris - House of Osiris -; Greek Busiris; Assyrian Puširu ) is now the name of a modern village in Lower Egypt, located 5.5 km south of Samannud. In ancient Egypt, Abu Sir Bana was under the ancient Egyptian name Djedu the capital of the ninth nome of Lower Egypt. The town was mentioned several times in the Pyramid Texts.
