Butch Trucks

Claude Hudson " Butch " Trucks ( born May 11, 1947 in Jacksonville, Florida) is an American drummer and one of the founding members of the Allman Brothers Band.

Biography

In the early 60s trucks entered his first band, The Vikings, when, with whom he recorded in 1964 a first single. On one of his other early projects, The 31st Of February, which were founded in 1968 and dissolved in the same year, Duane Allman and Gregg Allman were already doing. In 1969, he helped finally to establish the Allman Brothers Band, where he plays along until today. He is known for his charismatic appearance and his often stoic views of other band members while he plays.

Besides the music itself Trucks for philosophy and literature interested. He lives with his wife in Florida.

His nephew, the blues and slide guitarist Derek Trucks, also plays in the Allman Brothers.
