The Butzbach station is a railway station in the Hessian community Butzbach at the Main- Weser Railway. Previously, the station was the starting point leading to Lich and Grünberg Butzbach Licher railway.

History

With the opening of the leg Butzbach -Friedberg Main - Weser Railway on 9 November 1850, the station went into operation.

On March 28, 1904, the Lich Butzbach Railway was opened. This had its own railway station, the Butzbach Westbahnhof train station right next to the State. From here, the trains on Butzbach East, where today the administration and operation of the center are, and Griedel to Lich south near the railway line casting - Gelnhausen (Lahn -Kinzig -Bahn ). It was only on August 1, 1909 was followed by the sequel to Green Mountain, where in the state railway casting - Fulda (Vogel cable car) could be switched. Another railway line branched off in Griedel by the Wettertal to Bad Nauheim north; she was from 2 April 1910, through continuous section. On May 27, 1961 ended the person and part of the freight on the main line Butzbach - Lich. The last passenger rail between Butzbach and Bad Nauheim (North) ended on 31 May 1975.
