Bützow Land
The Office Biitzow country lies in the west of the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ). In this office are eleven municipalities and the city Biitzow, in which the administrative office is situated together to do their administrative business. For office originally belonged to 16 municipalities. The community Viezen was incorporated into Bernitt early as 1 July 1995. On 1 January 1999 Parkow came to town Biitzow. The communities Göllin, Short Trechow, Moisall and Schlemmin were integrated into the community Bernitt, Small Rhodesia in the community Jürgenshagen (1 January 2000). Oettelin came on 1 January 2001 to Zepelin. Neuendorf was incorporated into Steinhagen on 1 January 2005. Since that day, the communities Baumgarten, Dreetz, Tarnow and Warnow from the dissolved stone Official Dance Warnowtal also belong to the Official Biitzow country.
Right through the office area, the Warnow, in the case Biitzow opens the mist flows ( channeled in Biitzow - Güstrow channel). From northeast to southwest, the land rises gradually - at Bernitt - Jabelitz lies 147 m above sea level. NHN ( Long Mountain ), the highest peak of the Office. The southern half of the district area is already in the Mecklenburg Lake District. To the west, the Office of the County Northwest Mecklenburg, and on the south by the district of Ludwigsburg pleasure Parchim. The area is characterized primarily by agriculture. A notable archaeological site located in the municipality of Tarnow: the Boitiner stone dance.
The Baltic Sea motorway A 20 (Lübeck - Stettin) touches the north-west of the Office of Biitzow cause roads to Wismar, Bad Doberan, Schwaan, Güstrow and Goldberg.
