Bytnica

Bytnica ( German Beutnitz (Mark) ) is a place in the Polish Lubusz Voivodeship and is part of the powiat Krośnień.

History

After the end of World War II, the town was taken over by the Potsdam Agreement in Polish administration and expelled the German population. Since then the place has been called Bytnica.

Parish Church

The parish church of the village was built as a Protestant baroque church in the years 1745-1750. Later, a classical tower was erected in the middle of the roof. In 1948 the Church as a Catholic parish church of St. Peter and Paul was ordained. Patronal feast of Peter and Paul on 29 June.
