Byzaanchy

The Byzaanchy, also Byzanchi or Byzanchie ( Tuvan бызаанчы; Бизанчи Russian ), is a four-stringed, upright spike fiddle traditional music from Tuva.

The four strings of the instrument are tuned to two tones. The first and third string have the same sound, and the second and fourth, but this is a fifth higher than the other two. They are played by holding the finger from the bottom, however, and not as usual presses from above on the neck. The sheet of horse hair is divided into two strands. It is threaded into the instrument that passes a line between the first and second strings, and the other between the third and fourth string. A carved horse head usually adorns the top of the wooden neck of the instrument.

The response body is mostly made of wood. It is usually cylindrical, but may be cubic. The front is covered with goat skin, the back, however, is open. Thus, similar to the Byzaanchy the Chinese Sihu, but it has a metal resonator.
