C. Frank Reavis

Charles Frank Reavis ( born September 5, 1870 in Falls City, Nebraska, † May 26, 1932 in Lincoln, Nebraska ) was an American politician. Between 1915 and 1922 he represented the first electoral district of the state of Nebraska in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Frank Reavis attended the public schools of his home and then the Northwestern University in Evanston (Illinois ). After studying law and its made ​​in 1892 admitted to the bar he began in Falls City to work in his new profession.

Reavis was a member of the Republican Party. Between 1894 and 1896 he was District Attorney in Richardson County. In the congressional elections of 1914 he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. There he broke on March 4, 1915 from the Democrat John A. Maguire, whom he had defeated in the election. After several re- elections he remained until his resignation on June 3, 1922 in Congress.

After his time in Congress Reavis was appointed in June 1922 Special Prosecutor of the Federal Government. He had the task of bringing fraud cases related to the war spending on the indictment. This office he held until June 1, 1924. Afterwards he moved to Lincoln, where he worked as a lawyer. In this city C. Frank Reavis died in May 1932.
