C. Herschel (crater)

C. Herschel is a small crater in the western part of the Mare Imbrium. It is located on an ocean backs named dorsum home. South -southwest is the similarly designed crater Heis.

C. Herschel is circular and bowl -shaped and has no obvious signs of erosion on. The crater interior differs in its albedo not from the environment.

The crater was officially named in 1935 by the IAU astronomer Caroline Herschel by the British.
