Čađavica, Croatia

Čađavica ( Description: Čadjavica; Zagiotschau German ) is a town on the Croatian Virovitica - Podravina.

South of Čađavica were found during excavations traces of the so-called Martinovka culture, the oldest of the previously proven on the ground Croatian Slavic cultures (6th - 7th century) discovered.

The former Gothic parish church (now St. Peter ) outlasted the rule of the Turks, and was remodeled in the 18th century in the Baroque style. From this period also dates the Campanile.

Čađavica is the top city, from which the Drava is navigable.
