Caazapá

Caazapá ( Guaraní Ka'asapa ) is a town and district capital of the department Caazapá in Paraguay with about 3500 inhabitants. The city lies 155 meters above sea level.
Caazapá was founded in 1607 with the discovery of today located in the city park rock source " Ykua Bolaños " by the Franciscan friar Luis de Bolaños. The name comes from the Guarani language and the word " Ka'aguy jehasapa ", which means " behind the woods ".
