CAB Supercab

The CAB GY -30 Supercab was a two-seat light aircraft that was built from 1954 in France.

GY -30 was a development of the CAB Minicab. The design comes from Yves Gardan (1925-2009), a former designer of air carriers SIPA. The abbreviation GY stand for the signature of the designer. The machine was manufactured in Constructions aéronautiques du Béarn (CAB ) at Pau - Pyrenees Airport.

The main changes to the Supercab were a stronger engine performance, greater range, a manual tail wheel retractable landing gear and the slotted air brake. First flight was on February 5, 1954. Seven units were built by the low-wing GY -30 Supercab. Due to a weakening of the light aircraft market at that time production was stopped. A machine was privately owned until 1979, the French aircraft designer Charles Fauvel.
