Čaba Silađi

Čaba Siladji ( Serbian Cyrillic Чаба Силађи, Hungarian Csaba Szilágy; born August 23, 1990 in Senta, Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian swimmer. He belongs to the Hungarian minority in Vojvodina.

Career

Siladji was 2006 Vice World Champion over 50m breaststroke at both the Youth World Swimming Championships in 2006, and in the Youth World Swimming Championships. In 2008 he also won the bronze medal still 100m breaststroke.

2007 Short Course European Championships in Debrecen, he participated in a major international competition for the first time. He was about 50 meters breaststroke 24th, 100m breaststroke 29, or about 200 meters 34.

2008 Siladji was a part of the Serbian Olympic Team for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, where he did not get the 100m breaststroke on the lead out and finally finished in 40th position.

His biggest international successes came in 2009, when he one hand, at the Mediterranean Games in Pescara silver over 100 meters and bronze over 50m breaststroke won and on the other hand, when he won at the Summer Universiade 2009 in Belgrade Bronze 50 meters breaststroke. But the biggest success was reached in December bronze medal win over 50 meters breaststroke at the European Short Course Championships 2009 in Istanbul.

In the European Swimming Championships 2010 in Budapest Siladji reached over 50 meters breaststroke semi-final, left there, however, from eleventh. About 100 meters breaststroke he resigned as 23 in the flow.
