Cabeção is a comune ( Freguesia ) at the Portuguese circuit ( concelho ) Mora. 1079 inhabitants live in it (as at 30 June 2011).

History

During the Reconquista of the subsequent order of knights of Avis was the area for settlement. From an estate founded here the Order, the Quinta de São Salvador, the present town developed.

1395 Cabeção received first city rights, and in 1578 the place to Vila was charged. In the course of administrative reform by the Liberal Revolution in 1822 the county Cabeção dissolved in 1836 and affiliated to the county Mora.
