Cade McNown ( born January 12, 1977 in Portland, Oregon ) is a former American professional American football player at the position of quarterback.
He studied and played at the University of California and the first round of the NFL Draft in 1999 was selected by the Chicago Bears in 1999 as the twelfth player. After McNown played from 1999 to 2000 for the Bears, he was discharged in 2001 against draft picks to the Miami Dolphins. Finally, the 2002 season he moved to the San Francisco 49ers, the non-extended his one-year contract at the end of the season. The Dolphins and the 49ers but he did not play as a starting quarterback, but only as a reserve player.
