Cadillac (Band)

Cadillac was a Spanish pop group that existed from 1981 to 1986.

The band was founded in 1981 in Madrid by José María Guzmán (vocals, guitar) and Eduardo Ramírez (vocals, bass). Later, Pedro Sánchez (vocals, keyboards) and Javier de Juan ( drums) were added. their first album, Pensando en tí, but appeared this year with moderate success.

Javier de Juan left the group in 1982 and was replaced by Daniel Jacques. Cadillac's second and third album Llegas de madrugada and Un día mas appeared again with little success. As a new bassist Pepe Marchante was added because Ramirez had gotten out. One success was the 1985 album with the hit single Funkyllac Arturo.

In 1986, she was selected by the broadcaster TVE to represent Spain at the Euro Vision Song Contest 1986 in Bergen. With the pop song composed by Guzmán Valentino they reached the tenth place.

Marchante left the band in 1986 which resulted in the complete dissolution of the band in that year.
