CAE Inc. (formerly Canadian Aviation Electronics Inc.) is one of the world's largest and leading providers of professional flight simulator technologies. The Canadian company headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and employs about 7,500 people worldwide. In addition to the development and construction of flight simulators and the development of software, the company has a network of training and training centers in 20 countries on five continents. History

The company was founded in 1947 by Ken Patrick, a retired officer of the Royal Canadian Air Force ( RCAF ). In 1960 the company was awarded the first major contract from the Canadian government for the construction of six F -104 Starfighter simulators for the Canadian Air Force. With the F -104 program, the company received first experience with radar surveying simulations. In a period of five years, 26 more simulators were ordered from five NATO allied countries. In 1970 pressure on the airlines of environmental organizations, among others because of the oil crisis. Aircraft simulators

CAE has sold more than 900 simulators and training systems to more than 100 airlines, aircraft manufacturers and military training as well as other facilities. The company also distributes software for the aviation and training to various companies and also lists special simulations for this.

Pilot Training

CAE has training centers with over 115 full- flight simulators in more than 24 training centers, where approximately 3,500 airlines, aircraft commander and manufacturers are trained worldwide. In the U.S., CAE is one of the largest training facilities for non- airline based enterprises. These mostly charter and freight companies that can train their pilots at CAE. In December 2001, CAE took over the Simuflite Training Center in Dallas, Texas and in Morristown, New Jersey, which are now known as CAE Simuflite. The training facility in Dallas, at the Dallas / Fort Worth International Airport, is the largest business aviation training organization worldwide. At around 39,600 m² are 34 flight simulators available. There are at the site around 450 employees.

CAE trains approximately 75,000 people aircrew each year on its 29 civil and military training centers around the world.
