The Wurmwühle ( Caecilia tentaculata ) is a soil-dwelling Blindwühle.
Features
The 45-63 centimeters long Wurmwühle has a thick, flat body, its color is gray to black above and light brown below. The muzzle is wedge-shaped. It is a tail and the rear end covered with a hard plate. 100 to 300 grooves cover the body. The tentacles are smaller than in other species.
Occurrence
This species lives in the tropics in the southern Central America and northern South America buried in loose soil.
